Hahaha I legit was willing to pay $5 to change my username, but Gold is like $10 or more, so when it became offered that students sending in an audition to UVOS would receive a month of Gold, I immediately spent the UVOS audition fee of $5 (of course having fun with it too) and soon later was finally able to change my username from my old online name I never use anymore, to my actual name. I hated being credited as Kady but also didn't want to make a new profile and lose all the history I have, including a recommendation.

I definitely think, if not "whenever you want", if you could change your username for free at least:

-once a month

-once every 6 months

-once a year

-or even just once ever

so much of the community would appreciate it. I know past me certainly would. People who I'd send out Discord friend requests to were confused for years until I could finally change it last October.

I understand the sentiment for those who have issues with payment or funds to spend just to rebrand themselves- and I've found that the CCC team are happy to accommodate if you discuss any issues or concerns with them. Other sites usually put name changes behind a paywall- and I think CCC is fair in that respect in that people are able to easily change their username if another user awards their audition or project with a silver or gold award.

I recently paid for gold just to change my name haha. I agree ☝️
