I was about to post my own take on this, a Banner would tell profile viewers just a bit more about you, I'd say even stagger it like the base non-paid membership be able to choose from the current pre-selections, tier 1 being able to choose their own files while the higher tiers could maybe upload a gif for a banner? But to at least let us add this little customization would be a great idea.

I agree. Being able to upload a banner shouldn't be any more difficult than uploading a profile picture. It would certainly keep consistency across platforms and branding. I love this idea.
